Daraja Kilimanjaro Trust (DKT) is a community based non-profit organization based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. Founded in June 2017 by former volunteer Lina Guo (Penny) and Prosper Mbelwa, DKT is holding a mission to empower youths in Africa to fight against poverty, ignorance, and poor health. DKT is doing various programs including Childcare and education, youth development, community service, etc. We are now taking care (and feeding) more than 40 children, including orphans, children from extreme poverty and children from HIV positive families.

Childcare program

The Childcare program is the earliest program established by DKT. Every year, we receive about 40 children from the Kilimanjaro area who are in need of help,

Youth development program

The youth development program is designed for girls from 12 to 18 years old who have dropped out of school. They are all from poor families
